(१२५) कार्यभाग सहज उरकून घेत असे त्यांचे इंग्रज सरकारच्या दरबारांत देखील मोठे वजन होते. त्यांचे नातु इभ्रामअल्ली यानी महाराज मल्हारराव यांजवर काहीएक सबब नसतां उगीच फिर्याद केली होती. कमिशनानी आपल्या अभिप्रायांत त्याजबद्दल असे लिहिले आहे कीं, फिर्यादी यानें विसंगत हकीगत सांगितली आहे, त्यामुळे त्याचें खरें गाऱ्हाणे काय आहे तेंच समजत नाहीं. अकरा वर्षांवर खंडेराव महाराज यांच्या कारकीर्दीत त्यांची मिळकत अन्यायानें जप्त झाली होती असे दिसते. परंतु खंडेराव महाराजानी ज्या मिळकतीचा अपहार केला होता, त्यापैकी चौदा हजार रुपयांचा एक गांव आपणास मल्हारराव महाराजानी परत दिला असे फिर्यादीच कबूल करीत आहे. * * पांढरे आणि घोरपडे हे देखील कमिशनापुढे फिर्यादी करण्यास गेले होते, पण त्यांस स्वतःबद्दल कांहीं गान्हाणे सांगतांच आले नाही. मल्हारराव महाराज यानी त्यांस कोणत्याही प्रकारची हरकत केली नव्हती. तेव्हां फिर्याद करितात काय ? कमिशनानी त्यांच्या विषयीं असे लिहिले आहे की, त्यांची स्वतः बद्दल कांहीं फिर्यादी नाही. त्यांचा दोन वर्षांचा पगार चढलेला आहे, परंतु तो त्यानीं होऊन घेतला नाहीं, असे निमित्त सांगून कीं, आमच्या पेक्षा कमी योग्यतेच्या शिलेदारांचा पगार कमी करण्यांत येणार नाहीं, अशी आम्हाकडून सन १८५८च्या सालांत लोकांची खात्री करविली असतां त्यांचे पगार कमी केले आहेत. यांच वर्गांतील दुसऱ्या आणखी सहा मोकदम्यांबद्दल कमिशनानी असे लिहिले आहे की, हल्लींच्या महाराजानी त्यांस दाद दिली आहे सबब कमिशनापुढे त्यांस कांही फिर्याद करावयाची नाहीं.+

how his case really stands, but his grievances such as they are, date from the reign of the late Gaikwar, who, so far as the Commission can form an opinion on a case, which is stated to have occurred 11 years ago, appears to have acted towards him in a hareh and arbitrary manner, though quite in accordance with the then existing and pre- vious practice on the point in force in the state. The complainant admits that the present Chief has restored to him a village of the annual value of Rs. 14,000, which formed part of the property alleged to have been confiscated by his predecessor. Their pay is in arrears for the past two years, owing to their refusal to receive it, in consequence of the reduction of certain of the lesser Silledars, for whose permanant maintenance by the Gaikwar they allege they had received gaurantees at the request of the late Gaikwar at Kapura in 1858.
