Bacchus (bak'kus) n. myth. ग्रीक लोकांचा सुरादेव. हा शब्द पुल्लिंगी आहे.

Bachelor's Buttons n. भुतांव. कोंकणांत या झाडाला भुतांव असें ह्मणतात. Button शब्दाचा भुतांव हा गोज्यांकडील लोकांच्या भाषेत झालेला अपभ्रंश आहे. यालाच लॅटिन भात Ranuncalus acris, हं नांव आहे. Dachelor's Button ह्याला कँडीसाहेब गुलटोप हे गांव देतात, परंतु गुलटोप हे नांव (Gommphrana Globosa ह्याला योजावें असं आमचे मत आहे.

Bacillas (ha-sii'iis ) [L. bacillus, a little rod. ] 1. a short rod-shaped, bacterium (र्हस्व) यष्टिजंतु m, हस्व सक्ष्मजंतु m, हस्व जंतु ह्या शब्दाचा जास्त खुलासा पढ़े Bacterium शब्दाखाली दिला आहे, Bacillus हा Facterium च्या चार पोटभेदांपैकी एक पोटभेद आहे.
