N. B.--Eager & Earnest. Eager i god gaten गोष्टीविषयी उत्पन्न झालेल्या 'क्षणिक उत्कटेच्छेचा' व्यंजक आहजता " A hungry man is E. for food." ह्याचा उपयोग चागल्या व वाईट अशा दोन्हीही अर्थी होतो. Earnest या शब्दावली मनाच्या 'ठाम किंवा कायमच्या स्थितीचा' बोध होतो. ह्याचा उपयानेहमी चांगल्याच अर्थी करितात; जसे, "A preacher 1s - in his appeals to the conscience." Eager उत्सुक Earnest (दृढभावी) आस्थेवाईक.
