चातुर्वर्ण्य. The principles of Grammar and Etymology of the Vaidik or Sanskrit words have been deeply rooted in the subject matter of the Transcendental Science and that the Vai- dik Language and the Vaidik People being cc-eval, must be considered as being both of immense antiquity.

(1) It may be affirmed without any fear of contra- diction that as already remarked above, there has not been yet found by the Western people either any test or standard of the so called happiness, right or justice. All what the Wertern Jurisprudence and Juris- prudence and Science in general (excluding only such branches of knowledge as e. g. Mathematics (pure and applied) have hitherto done in the case of the advance- ment of Western knowlenge in general, is that various men of intelligence have colletced and systematized facts in the several departments of knowledge and deduced cer- tain general tentative rules and principles which, natur- ally enough cannot be universal in their application, nor can they te utilized for the purpose of either correctly explaining or appreciating facts and phenomena (whe- ther physical, social, or intellectual ) which have come into existense on account of the rules and principles, that have been derived from an altogether distinct depart- ment of knowledge called the Brahma-vidya (en) and that have been successfully studied, preached and practised from hoary antiquity by the Vaidik People alone. २० It, therefore, clearly follows that so far as the Indian Soil is concerned, a correct knowledge of the origin and the character of the landed proprietary right must be obtained from the sources of knowledge, which have
