२१४ बाळाजी बाजीराव पेशवे यांची रोजनिशी. ७४८-४९ [३४३] खर्च पोतापैकी धर्मादाय मुक्काम पर्वती येथे श्रीदेवाच्या स्थापना तिसा आईन मया व अलफ केल्या देव. १ श्रीदेवेश्वर बाण १ रुप्याचे महादेवाची मूर्त व सुवर्णाच्या लावल ४ मूर्ती मांडीवर १ उजवे मांडीवर गणपती १ डावे मांडीवर पार्वती. १ श्रीपाषाणाचा गणपती. १ श्रीपर्वताई भवानीची अर्चा केली. सदरप्रमाणे देवस्थापना करण्यास छ २९ जमादिलाखरपासून छ ३ जमादिलावल पर्यंत खर्च ९२२२॥ रुपये व छ ४ जमादिलावल रोजी खर्च ३७९७॥ जाला असल्याचा दाखला सदर तारखेस आहे. [३४४] गंगाराम व दयाराम वल्लद मोहनदास खेत्री यांस कौल लिहून दिल्हा की, तुवां हजूर येऊन विनंती केली की, कसबे पुणे येथे गुरुवार पेठ भरावयाची इ. स. १७५०-५१. इहिदे खमसेन आज्ञा जाली तर वाणी, बकाल वगैरे उदमी वेवसाई आणून वसाहत मया व अलफ. करीन. साहेबी कृपाळू होऊन पेठमजकूरचे शेटेपण आपल्यास वतनी सफर १९. करून दिल्हें पाहिजे ह्मणोन. त्यावरून पेठमजकूरच्या आबादानीवर नजर देऊन शेटेपण वतनी तुझांस करून दिल्हें असे. तरी वाणी, बकाल वगैरे उदमी वेवसाई आणून पेठमजकूरची आबादानी करणे आणि शेटेपणाचा हक्कदक व कामकाजवर पेठाचे शिरस्ते A. D. 1751-52. Mohandas Khetri to the following effect: You came to the Huzur and represented that if you were permitted to establish a mart in Guruwar Peth of Poona, you would induce traders and shop-keepers and persons following other occupations to reside there and prayed that the Watan of Shettya of the Peth might be given to you. In view of the prosperity of the Peth, the Watan of Shettya is conferred on you. You should populate the Peth with traders, shop-keepers and others, and you and your descendants should perform the duties of the office of Shettya and enjoy its rights without obstruction. The fee to be levied from you in consideration of the grant of the Watan is fixed at Rs. 1001, you should pay the amount to Government, and take a receipt for the same.
