Buff-stick n. पालिस करावयाचें चामड्याचें चाक किंवा काठी. ह्या चाकाला किंवा काठीला हिमरी नांवाच्या दगडाची पूड लाविलेली असते.

B.-Buff originally meant the buffalo or other large species of wild ox; hence its proper meaning is 'leather made of buffalo-hide,' but now it is usually applied to a very stout kind of leather made of oxhide, dressed with oil, and having a characteristio fuzzy surface and a dúll whitish-yellow colour.
