महाभारत. १९१ मिल, ● नैसर्गिक प्राबल्यच जास्त दिसून येतें, अर्से जे मिळुच ह्मणणं आहे, त्याव- रही विलसननें चर्चरीत टीका केली असल्याचें दिसून येते. मूढ व अज्ञ जनांनी अशा प्रकारच्या वृत्तीचे अवलंबन करावें, यांत तर कांहींच नवल नाहीं. परंतु सुशिक्षित आणि विद्वान ह्मणविणाऱ्या बड्या बड्या पंडितांनी देखील असेच वर्तवें; आणि आपलें तेंच खरें, असें केवळ दर्पानें प्रतिपादन करावें; किंवा ज्या त्या कामांत, "माझेंच घोडें आणि जाऊं द्या पुढें," या ह्मणी सारिखें आचरण ठेवावें; अथवा भारतीयांचा प्रचंड गुणोत्कर्ष सहन नझाल्याकारणानें, त्यांच्या उत्कट उत्साहशक्तीचें व विल- क्षण बुद्धिवैभवाचें प्रोत्साहन करणे तर एकीकडेसच राहून १४वा ] १.
