As presently I am undergoing a project to port more content on mr wikisource, I think keeping the access with me will be a helpful for me and community.

If you want to import any templates, important pages, then only its useful. Please don't import any unsourced pages/pages without scans/pages with unknowns sources. Keep this access only if you have clear project maintenence purpose.

We have hell lot of unsourced pages/pages without scans and our community have a huge burden to deal with them. So no more unsolicited imports will be tolarated. Earlier such dumps are yet unattended. thanks for your reply.

I request you to first discuss your project on village pump and then import anything. Please don't import any pages/set of pages without prior discussion. As we have to deal with those pages afterwards. Mainly scruitinizing all the content for copyvios becomes impossible. Hope you understand what I am proposing. thanks and regards. This category has some 1200+ pages, which were imported from mrwikipedia to wikisource. Which doesn't have a valid license or valid free source. So we can not keep most of the content on this project. And active users are working on cleaning of these pages. To remind you its a huge task. So if you are planning to import some pages like this. I suggest, please do not import a single page without scans. And this is not the case and you don't want to help the project in routine maintenance. Its better that your rights are removed. I am the first admin on this portal. I have built the portal and make it operational. The content imported is form Marathi Wikipedia in bulk the reason is that the content people started contributing for mr wikisource before we started the project in Marathi language. The content is mythological, religious content which is copyright free and in use for years in Hindu religion which people have contributed. (like bible etc.) Rahul Deshmukh ०८:४३, ५ जून २०२२ (IST)

I am failling to understand many things here, So I am repeating myself again, Don't import anything which lacks source/scans in other words don't import any content pages at all. Failure to comply with this warning may lead to revocation of editing rights. As copyright violations can not be tolarated at all. Additionally copyright violations done using advance rights such as import tools would be disastrous.

I am failing to understand, how the things said by you are even relavant to this importer rights discussion?

* You being admin or whatever on "this portal" as you said. This is not a portal but wikimedia site/project in reality.

* Whatever the content is/ of whichever theme we don't really consider it free until we have a source scan/reliable source to proof that it is free. Random stanza from some random book can not be called free or in public domain just because you know it/Your word is not a proof for anything. But there should be some source which will establish the free contents date or creation.

* You haven't yet explained why you need the importer rights. We need exact specifics of the intent or else its futile as you haven't edited here for last ten years.

* If you think being an first of few editors here gives you special benifits then it doesn't.
