Foreword I am a follower of Gandhi's thought, a staunch supporter of Babasaheb's constitution and working towards a change. I never publicly said or wrote about why I chose this path or what motivated me to do so. In my 50's I am trying now to join all the pieces of my work. I am writing to share my work, my experience in Beed. There is no political agenda involved. This book is the collection of experience gained through the answers to the questions like what can be done to bring about change in the system, and what should be done on the ground to change the mind-set of the people. This book is a small effort to make people realise the need to change the social dynamic of our society. I enjoy the process of my work than the results. The struggles, adventures, ups and downs, I enjoy everything. This book is contemplation of all of my experiences as an activist. I have written, what I felt during the journey, without any filters. I am sure the responses to this will definitely help me in my future endeavours. This journey wouldn't have been possible without my teammates Adv. Shaila Jadhav, Kailash Jadhav, my younger sister Rupa. Without Sanjiv (Husband) and Manu (Daughter Adv. Chaitra V.S) I can't imagine a single day of my life. Rajiv Mulye has witnessed the entire journey and the process attached with it. He was the one who helped me to pen down my journey. Many times as an activist when you are confronted with an issue, you try finding the main causes and roots of that problem. As you go deeper in social structure and understand the psyche of the people, you realise that the primary issue is the outcome of many other social evils. Those evils may be people's behaviour, toxic traditions, superstitions, mentality or even at time inevitability. The entire process is crucial for any social activist because it increases our dimensions, it helps us to enhance our capacities to interpret a situation from many aspects.
