Because of our sting, illegal sex-determination practices stopped for a few days. But after that, some doctors secretly started these tests. They had made a strategy, when we used to come for court hearing or meetings, they used to stop such practices but as soon as we left, they resumed their work. The only difference was that their price for testing had increased than earlier. We had developed a strong network of stringers by then to get all the information needed. Beed's socio-political environment was in turmoil because of this. Some parties had made the issue political and were accusing each other but we on the other side were facing a different problem altogether. The executive system PCPNDT act was not properly formed yet thus was inefficient. Therefore we had to handle many cases at the same time which was exhausting. In the entire state, there was confusion regarding the PCPNDT Act. We weren't getting proper treatment in the court. There was no separate book for the act. Judges, themselves didn't have sufficient knowledge about the act. There were many such obstacles in fighting such cases. Second that we cannot just do sting operations, we also have to fight these cases till the end. The most important thing was to take workshops of the Judges regarding the provisions of the act. Tasks were difficult and time-consuming, we had no time to rest. Fortunately, I was appointed at the Central Monitoring Committee and also at the State
