P. 208 209. ज्याला वैदिक किंवा श्रोत्रिय होण्याची इच्छा असे- त्यानें समग्र ॠग्वेद संहिता प्र थम ह्मटली पाहिजे. तदनंतर ब्राम्हणें, अरण्यकें, आणि सूत्रे, यांचें पठण केले पाहिजे. व त्यानंतर शिक्षा, छंदस, व्याकरण, निरुक्त, ज्योतिष, आणि कल्प, यांचें चांगलें अध्ययन केले पाहिजे. हें अध्ययन गुरुच्या घरीं सुमारें आठ वर्षे करावें लागतें, आणि तें फारच श्रमाचें व मोठ्या मेहेन- वेद पठण व शि- क्षणनैपुण्य.
