Fortunately, the media picked it up, many OB vans could be seen in Parali those days. Meanwhile, Dr. Mundey had escaped from Parali. We started protesting at Azad Maidan in Mumbai, sent notices to Health Minister and health director of the state. Notice consisted of a text which said "Despite continuous instances of similar cases, no overseeing committee has been appointed by the government till this moment, why shouldn't we hold you accountable for the deaths?" we also demanded that the committee should be formed within 15 days. To our surprise, after 15 days, at our press conference, few journalists handed over a government order declaring the formation of an overseeing committee! Another surprise was that my name which was previously there in the committee member list was omitted from the present list. Nonetheless, I was just happy seeing the committee being formed.
