It was very important to make everyone- from court judges, government officials to journalists- aware and sensitive against Foetussex determination test. We were conducting regular workshops of Judges. We also conducted a special workshop in 'Pandharpur' for Government officials from 'Solapur' district. We also invited Journalists from different parts of the district for another 3-days workshop. During these workshops or other meetings, 'Parali' was one such city which was on everybody's lips. Everyone use to say that a large number of families go to Parali to check the sex of their foetus. Co-incidentally I got a call from 'Swami Ramanand-Tirth' University to share my experience as a resource person for the workshops that I conducted for judges. On the way, we decided to crash in at Parali and do the courageous task. Yes, it was a courageous task indeed!. Entire Maharashtra now knows who Dr.Sudam Munde is. But during that time we were hearing many different things about him. Many people and even some civil surgeons told me to not get involved in the matter. “They will kill you or they will trap you in some fake case!" they warned us.
