पुस्तकाचे भाषांतर माझ्या हातून झाले असल्यामुळे त्याच
विषयावर हें पुस्तक फार चांगले झाले आहे, असे मला
स्हणावें लागतें. आज आपल्या देशास अशाप्रकारच्या
लेखांची अत्यंत आवश्यकता आहे, हें कोणीहि कबूल.
करील. ह्यावरून आपले पुस्तक चांगल्या आश्रयास
पात्र आहे, व तो आश्रय आपणांस मिळलहि, अशी
मला आशा आहे. कळावें, लोभ करावा, हे विनंति.

I have read a portion of your transla-
tion of Ransome's well-known work on
India. From the few pages, kindly sent by
you for my perusal, the translation appears
to be well executed; and I make no doubt
that it would be a welcome addition to
Marathi literature, and such an agreeable
relief from the dull monotony of trashy
novels which seem to form the main bulk of
the modern day Marathi Literature.
