The currency policy of India for the last 50 years is conducted in the interest of the British trade, and the natural consequence of that is, the uncalculable loss to the Indian Agriculture and manufacture. Therefore un- less the currency policy is wholely and solely controlled by the Indians, there is not the slightest possibility of any betterment of Indian trade and manufacture.
This fact is made quite clear in this small book written in Marathi by Mr. Y. V. Lohokare.
