Cycloid= चक्राभास; (चक्रवदाभासते इति चक्राभासम्). Catenary =कातन्बली; कातनुः (दुराकृतिः) अलिः (अरि:= सुदर्शनचक्र) यस्यां सा कातन्वलिः (भाषायां कातवली) (आकृतिः). Envelope=अन्वालोप; (अन्वालोपति अन्वालुप्यते वा इति अन्वालोपः ) also आच्छादक, आच्छादन. Epicycloid = अपचकालद; (अपकृष्टं चक्रालदम् अपचकालदम् । चक्रमालाति (गृह्णाति) इति चक्रालः । चक्रस्थो विशिष्टबिन्दुः स द्यते खण्ड्यते यस्मिन् इति चक्रालदम् ). Harmonic-हरात्मक; (हर आत्मा (प्रधानः) यस्य यस्मिन्वा असौ हरात्मकः). Hypocycloid= अतिचक्रालद; (अतिक्रान्तं चक्रालदम् इति अतिचक्रालदम् ). Hypotrochoid=अतित्रिच्छेद (त्रिभिश्छिद्यते इति त्रिच्छेदः अतिक्रान्तः त्रिच्छेदः अतित्रिच्छेदः). Lemniscate = इलामूल; (इला त्रिभुजाधारः एव मूलं आदिकारणं यस्य तत् इलामूलम् ). Radical = करणी; (अवर्गस्य मूलं करणी).
