  N. B. --For the words अभयहल, अभयडंका, अभयलेख -खात्रीचा हात Or वचनहस्त, खात्रीचा डंका-द्वाही or वचनडंका, खात्रीचा लेख or वचनलेख will be more correct. घडा, निधडा are really adjectives used as nouns. They mean daring for exploits implying a valiant determination. They are not correct renderings of " Assurance."
 Generally Assurance meaning विमा is more used of life contingencies, and Insurance of other contingencies; as, Life Assurance, Fire Insurance.
